Your account, your check-ins and your program history are stored by Supabase. The audio engine and the daily program run entirely on your phone. The only server call Kalme makes beyond your own data is the optional chat, which goes to Anthropic through our function, with your consent.
Intellectual property
The Kalme name, logo, interface, texts, sounds, illustrations, program and code are the exclusive property of CROLAB or its partners, and are protected by intellectual property law. Reproducing, representing or distributing them, in whole or in part, without prior written permission is prohibited.
Personal data
Under the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, correct, erase and port your personal data, to restrict its processing and to object to it. Write to support@kalme.app to exercise those rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French supervisory authority (cnil.fr). Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Not a medical device
Kalme is a wellness and education app. It is not a medical device and it does not replace a doctor, an ENT or an audiologist. It gives no medical advice and makes no promise about how your tinnitus will evolve.
The questionnaire used during setup is based on the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI), a published questionnaire used in ENT and audiology clinics. The app uses it to personalise your program and to let you follow your own change over time. The number it shows you is not a medical opinion.
See a doctor if your tinnitus is in one ear only, pulses with your heartbeat, started suddenly, or comes with hearing loss, dizziness, ear pain or a head injury. Stop and ask for advice if a session makes you feel worse.
Subscriptions and refunds
Kalme is sold through the App Store. Payment, renewal and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms, and CROLAB cannot issue a refund itself. Subscription terms are set out in the Terms of Use.
Governing law
This notice is governed by French law. If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, the French courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence.
